Its the homestretch!!
Ahh the end is very near!! I can feel it!! Now that the weather is actually nice too, I am really checked out. All I want to do is be outside!! This weekend was mostly spent outside because it was so nice out. Bonfires, the football scrimmage softball games, and sunburns can sum up the weekend. But it was a fun one as next weekend will consist of studying and writing papers. Barf. Finals, don't remind me. But I don't have too many of them, so I should be in good shape. I work some more this week here too, so that will be a good thing to get my mind from being fried!
I cannot wait to have a break from school here in a few weeks for a few weeks. Then it starts back up again!! I cant seem to get away!! But its all for the best, I have to get into grad school!!! Scary that it is almost 1 year away...

Dance Team banquet!
We just had our end of the year Dance Team banquet on Thursday and it was a fun and sad one!! We all got dressed up in fancy dresses and went out to eat at Caldo on main street It was pretty good food, if any one is wanting to go there. And as you can kind of see jean jackets were the thing to wear... unfortunately I wasn't informed of this. Darn it.
Our advisor, Erin, gave all the seniors and graduating members a cute gift and she announced the captains for the following year. I am happy to inform you, that I will be one of the 3 captains for the SMSU Dance Team for the 2013-2014 season! I am very excited to see what it will bring and hopefully we get a lot of new girls to join the team! Can it be the fall already please? I miss practice already!
The 2012-13 captains and 2013-14 captains!!
Its crazy to think that I only have one more year left dancing on a dance team... I have been on a team since 7th grade and dancing since I was 3! AHHH! Growing up is so scary, and I don't know if I am ready for it. But, I have to say that I am very excited to someday coach a team as wonderful as the team that I am on today!!

Freshmen Registration
It is that time of year again, FRESHMEN REGISTRATION!!! I love working this event. It is so much fun to see all the new people that will be coming here in the fall!! And it also means that we are almost done with school too. But, it is soo much fun to see how nervous and excited they all are. I can remember back to when I came for registration. I am still friends with some of the people that I had met that day, and I still have and use the folder that they give you! Its crazy to think how much I have changed in 3 years, and how is many ways I am still very much the same. I can only hope that these newbies here to SMSU have as much fun as I have had and are having, and I hope that maybe I will get to be friends with some of them. Freshmen year is a year that is crazy, and I wasn't expecting it at all. And when people say to enjoy your college years because they fly by, they mean it. I feel like I just graduated high school like 2 months ago, and here I am a registered senior in college. INSANE!!
I helped out on Friday at this event doing multiple things. Recruiting kiddos to live in the Mustang Traditions dorm here in the fall. I lived there for 2 years, and made a ton of great friendships and memories. I had a blast and wouldn't have traded it for the world. I would totally recommend a freshmen to live there if they are at all outgoing and wanting to meet a whole bunch of new people. I also wondered around and talked to a bunch of the parents about things, and that is fun to just give your own opinions of things and de-stress the parents about their kids going to college a bit. And then checkout is my favorite, because they have all just registered for classes figured out where they are living and who with, and are so exited to start! I love chatting with them about those things.
Since I worked in the Mustang Traditions dorm last year, I put together a video of the pictures that we took over the years to hopefully show kids how much fun we have!

New Job!
I recently was hired at Key Largo Bar and Grill in Slayton, MN for the summer! Now this is my first waitressing job, so if you have any pointers at all, please let me know!! I am extremely nervous for my first day here next week, as I have been studying the menu all the time it seems like. It looks like a really fun place to work and eat at! I hope I can do well there and make a decent living this summer and have a little bit on fun. If I have time... So, if anyone is in Marshall for the summer and want to try somewhere new to eat, I would recommend Key Largo! Its about 30 minutes from Marshall, which isn't too bad if you are sick of going to the same old Apple-bee's all the time. Oh! And if anyone knows of anyone needing a babysitter, send them my way! Always looking for a few extra bucks :]

Busy Weekend!
This weekend I went home for a few different reasons, and it was a jam-packed weekend! After worring about if the weather was going to clear up so that I could make it home in once piece on Friday, I was rushing back in the same fashion hoping to miss the weather once again.
Friday right when I got home, My mom and I went to one of our family friends restaurants, Nightingale. It is a super cool restaurant with fun food and a lot of cool original drinks! If you are ever in Minneapolis and want to try something different, I highly recommend it.
Then Saturday, I was up before the sun it seemed! We had to get up early to get ready for my sisters Conformation at the Cathedral of St.Paul in St.Paul. Such a beautiful church ( I will post a picture below) and a really nice and packed service. I think almost 200 kids were confirmed that morning by the Archbishop, which is pretty cool. It was too cold out though to wear cute sandals to Church! Dang snow! Then later that night we went to Macaroni Grill for dinner to celebrate my sisters birthday, which was on Sunday.
Sunday was another early day, as we had to go to church again so that my sister could be presented to everyone along with her class. Not as early as Saturday, but I still didn't get to sleep in this weekend! It was my sisters birthday too, so we went out to breakfast after church with some of our family. Then the drive back here was horrible! Snow and ice in the city, and rain the whole rest of the way.

SNOW WEEK!
I totally should have done this when school got cancelled, but here I am on a Sunday evening... This week was crazy with how much snow we got and how much school got cancelled!! I kinda started to cry when all the snow started, but then we school started to get cancelled, I was ok with it :] But now I am stuck studying for 2 back to back tests tomorrow, and preparing for a presentation! Mondays are already tough as it is, and this isn't going to help my situation at all. So snow, you are a bittersweet thing. And spring, you need to hurry up and get here so I can wear all my cute sandals and dresses!!
Oh, and I got suck in the parking lot too!! This snow was so heavy and wet, that I actually heard on a weather report not to shovel it. I think they were talking about the senior citizens, because they talked about people having heart attacks because it was so heavy. CRAZY! And in Minneapolis, they couldn't declare a snow emergency because it is a city ordinance that after April 1st, you can no longer do that. And let me tell you, I was downtown Minneapolis this weekend and it is a mess down there with all the snow.
So here's hoping to a quick melt and for spring to be here!! I wanna watch some baseball!!

Almost Summer!!!
I cannot believe that another school year is almost gone. I really didn't believe that college went by so fast when people told me to enjoy it, but it really does!! My junior year almost gone and one more left here at SMSU is really hard to wrap my head around. And now seeing a lot of my friends and peers graduating this year, it is going to be weird being the old ones on campus!
Summer is another story. In a way, I don't want it to come because I have to do so much. Besides moving down here for the summer, I have to work, do a lot of service hours to even apply to grad school, apply to grad school, take the GRE test, and manage to maybe have a social life and go home to see my family? Too much, not enough time!! Oh and I am taking 6 credits this summer too. Goodbye free time! I am going to go crazy here with the to-do list that keeps getting longer by the day.
I do have my New York trip to look forward too!! Here in 33 days I will be boarding a plane headed to NYC and I couldn't be more excited!!! My mom just got us tickets to see a taping of the Jimmy Fallon show one day when we are there. I am stoked!
